It is good attempt of National Council of Science Museums to offer such distinguished place of tourism which stimulates interest in science and make it appealing for children. Panorama on Mahabharata

Battle of Kurukshetra represented as panorama on Mahabharata is the main attraction of people coming to this holy city. The ancient epic Mahabharata is holy book of Indian mythology and its most devastating fight in climax was fought on the grounds of Kurukshetra along with most significant episode of Geeta Saar that was elaborated here by lord Krishna during the battle.



Kurukshetra Panorama & Science Center has created an impressive pictorial sequence along with sculptures and illusion lights. A complete spectrum of cylindrical hall is dedicated to display this magnificent event of Kurukshetra. This eighteen day battle of Kauravas and Pandavas is showcased in 18 feet heighted paintings. This period is assumed to be happened between 400 BC - 400 AD according to compilation of Mahabharata.



This area also displays the categories of weapons used during the war in Kurukshetra. The Astras and Divyastras made of gold, stone, bronze, copper, and iron are also elaborated in this display. This section gives information about the weapons utilized during that era along with strategies and planning of vyuhas to checkmate others. The complete scene of Mahabharata is painted with utter significance to tune up all disgraceful and glad moments cheered equally with high spirits.

Dinosaur Enclave

3D Film Show

3D is the new technology added to the world. It can be termed as three dimensional feature films which are displayed in the theatre. People can enjoy these short movies in effective state- of- the- art HD projection at this science center. The entire theatre is air conditioned along with seating arrangements for 50 persons to provide complete comfort. 3D movies are charged extra along with entry fees and they have specific timings. These charges are nominal which are given below along with timings of show.

Chroma Key TV Studio

Chroma Key TV Studio is one of the best features of this center, located on the ground floor of complex. It is specially designed studio which creates an imaginary ambiance around the visitors which can be seen with naked eyes. People can feel themselves in any monument, photograph themselves with famous personalities, or fly in the air. The most interesting part is that, visitors can take printout of photographs which were taken in that virtual environment. It is wonderful experience for people coming at this place to increase their science knowledge. These printouts are chargeable and their rates per piece are given below.

Reach Kurukshetra Panorama and Science Center

Kurukshetra Panorama and Science center is located on Pehowa road in Kurukshetra. It is merely 2 km from railway station in western direction. It is also very near from new bus stand of Kurukshetra. It takes only 5 minutes drive from this bus station and 10 minutes drive from Pipli bus stand which is situated at NH 1. Local buses, Taxis, Auto, Rickshaws, and cabs are easily available from railway and bus station to reach this science center.

Best Time to Visit

Kurukshetra Panorama and Science center is opened for all days in a calendar year. Therefore it can be visited at any moment of time. But during summers and winter vacations, it is most befitting place for students. Due to holiday time, this institute organizes summer camps and vacation hobby activities to attract many students. These short crash courses are very educative and knowledgeable for them. Hence most of the people prefer to take their families in this vacation periods. This place can be visited during science fairs which are organized every year. This phase could be the ideal time to visit Kurukshetra Panorama and Science center.

Timings and Entry Fee

It is opened for all 365 days in a year except Holi and Diwali holidays. Since it is widely loved by kids, it remains open on Sundays and other holidays. It opens from morning to evening and entry is allowed after charging entry fees. This entry fee is for entire arena except 3D film and parking. Also, Chroma key photographs color prints are charged extra.
