About Birla Mandir in Kurukshetra
This pure marble structure has a landscaped garden at its back. It is dedicated to Lord Shri Krishna and it replicates the renowned model which is exactly located in Thanesar at the spot where Lord delivered the principles of Karma as Gita. The other deities housed in this temple are famous Sikh gurus; Guru Gobind Singh, Guru Nanak, Guru Tegh Bahadur, Lord Hanuman, Lord Ram, Sant Ravi Das, Tulsidas, etc. Along with their idols, their teachings are also engraved near them.The garden in main complex of this temple has a huge chariot made from white marble. It has Lord Krishna standing over this chariot and warrior Arjuna spellbound seated on ground with folded hands listening to his words. There are 4 marble horses depicted as pulling the chariot and this entire scenery is added more beauty by 18 other characters from Mahabharata also installed all around.
